Online & Live Real Estate Continuing Education Classes

Massachusetts State law requires real estate Brokers and Salespersons who wish to renew their broker and salesperson license on an active status to complete 12 hours of Continuing Education (CE). The American Real Estate Academy is licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to teach real estate continuing education. There is no real estate exam for CE classes whether you take our online or live courses.

American Real Estate Academy offers both online and live ce classes.

Our online continuing education courses allow you to complete all 12 credits (or fewer if necessary) from the comfort of your home, office, or on the go. Our HI-DEF VIDEO classes are mobile and tablet compatible making your ce requirements easy, affordable, informative and fun.

For those real estate salespersons and brokers who prefer to take their continuing education classes in person, we offer a variety of options at our Weston School.

Important Renwal Information

As of June 16, 2025 the Board of Registration of Real Estate Salesperson and Brokers is using a new online system eLIPSE in place of the prior ePlace system. Instructions on creating an account within the new system is listed below.

The board is now requiring all licensees to upload all CE certificates during the renewal process as well as upload a notarized CORI Acknowledgment Form. The form must be notarized by a notary public. Broker licensees will also have to upload their original bond. If you do not have your bond on file and received your bond through us you must call CNA Surety directly to request your original bond. They are only authorized to release the original bond to the policy holder. You may call them directly at 1-800-331-6053.

Technical Requirements

Course Videos & Tracking Student Progress

Each CE topic is broken into 8 sections. Each section is approximately 15 minutes long. You will need to complete each section in order to move onto the next section. You will not be able to advance to the next section or topic until your current section is viewed in its entirety.

After successfully completing each topic, you will receive a certificate of completion notating your completed CE requirements.

Course Videos & Tracking Student Progress

Each of the self-paced topics are broken into 5 sections. Each section is approximately 45 minutes long. You will need to complete each section in order to move onto the next section. You will not be able to advance to the next section or topic until your current section is viewed in its entirety.

At the completion of each topic, you will also be required to complete a brief quiz which covers important information from that topic.

After successfully completing the course, you will receive your certificate of completion in the mail, at which point you will be able to take the exam.

For each of the scheduled topics, you will need to register in advance for each topic to reserve a seat. After attending each of these topics, you will receive in individual attendance code which you will need in order to receive full credit for these topics.

At the completion of each topic, you will also be required to complete a brief quiz which covers important information from that topic.

After successfully completing each section of the course, you will receive your certificate of completion in the mail, at which point you will be able to take the state exam.
