Successful agents use every competitive advantage they possess, especially in the battle for listings. The broker license identifies that you are a real estate professional with three years of experience. A licensed broker may open up their own office and work for themselves.
State law requires broker candidates take 40 hours of pre-license education AND to have been actively licensed as a salesperson and have been associated with a broker for the last 3 years.
***Important Change in Pre-License Requirements:

Prior to the broker examination, a salesperson shall complete forty (40) hours of pre-license broker education AND must have affiliated with a broker for three (3) years for a broker license.
